Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs. Float required to Postpartum/Antepartum and potentially to sister facilities for Mother/Baby care.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550+ deliveries per month
• 31-bed unit with 4 operating rooms supporting diverse patient populations including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and Social Services
• Opportunity to work in a fast-paced teaching environment following AWHONN staffing guidelines
• Average daily census of 15-17 patients with patient ratios of 1:2
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk Labor and Delivery experience required
• Epic charting system experience required (electronic fetal monitoring/OBIX)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide continuing newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Must be able to circulate for C-sections
• Competency in newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments
• Experience with high-risk medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Experience with all types of deliveries including multiple births, forceps/vacuum extraction, and cesarean sections
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
