Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550+ deliveries per month
• 31-bed unit with 4 operating rooms supporting diverse patient populations including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Function as Baby Nurse during deliveries and circulate for cesarean sections
• Work with Epic electronic charting system and electronic fetal monitoring (OBIX)
• 91-day travel assignment with 36-40 hours of orientation

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or valid Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required; high-risk experience strongly preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting experience required (hard stop)
• Electronic fetal monitoring experience required
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during deliveries, including newborn care, eye prophylaxis, and Vitamin K injections
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections
• Experience with high-risk, fast-paced environments and 1:1-2 patient ratios
• Willingness to float to Postpartum/Antepartum units and potentially to sister facilities
• First-time travelers accepted
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
