Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Room – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: October 20, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM), 36 hours per week with potential for overtime after 48 hours. Weekend coverage required (approximately half of weekends per contract). Patient ratio of 4:1. 24-hour orientation provided.

Highlights:

  • Level I Trauma Center experience with 36-bed Emergency Department
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
  • High-volume emergency department averaging 105 visits per day
  • Epic charting system utilized
  • All age groups treated: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • 91-day assignment with competitive compensation structure

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Travel nursing experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Proficiency in emergency nursing skills including arterial line management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, IV vasopressors, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, procedural sedation, triage, and trauma care
  • Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
  • Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
