Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: October 21, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM). Option for 36 or 48 hours per week. 4:1 patient ratio. Two weekend shifts required per contract. 91-day assignment.

• Emergency Department with 100 daily visits and 22 treatment rooms
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the department
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Exposure to diverse patient diagnoses including STEMI, stroke, DKA, CHF, and behavioral health conditions
• Opportunity to perform advanced procedures including intubation, central lines, arterial lines, and chest tubes
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience and certifications

Requirements:

• Valid Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1+ years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (must be in hand at submission)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Willingness to float to like units within scope as needed
