Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Psychiatric Adult – Lewiston, ME 04240

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Lewiston, Maine

Schedule: 3x 12-hour shifts, Days. 13-week assignment (91 days). Overtime available after 40 hours per week. Must be willing to float to Chemical Dependency/Detox units.

Highlights:

• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team providing inpatient behavioral health care for adults
• Responsibilities include medication administration and education, daily patient care documentation, and behavior management and monitoring
• Opportunity to participate in and lead patient education groups
• Collaborative environment focused on treating conditions including major depression and ADD/ADHD
• No on-call requirements

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required
• Valid State of Maine RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year previous nursing experience required; 1-3 years working with adults preferred
• CPI training required
• Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius from the location
• Clean background check and licensure required
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage stress appropriately and set strong professional boundaries
