Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgical Technologist – Everett, WA 98201

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Everett, Washington

Schedule: 4x10 Day Shift (06:30 - 17:00), with at least 10 call shifts per month. Call coverage from 17:00 - 06:30. 1-2 weekends per month required. Daily surgical case volume averages 55 cases across 18 operating rooms.

Highlights:

• Level II Trauma Center with 571 total staffed beds across both campuses
• Comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical experience including CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, minimally invasive valve procedures, VATS, mediastinoscopy, and RATS
• Opportunity to work with diverse surgical specialties including general, cardiovascular/thoracic, laparoscopic, and preferred exposure to OB/GYN, plastic, ENT, urology, robotic, orthopedic, neuro, and transplant procedures
• Supportive learning environment with willingness to assist with skill development for quick learners
• EPIC charting system with facility-paid parking
• 13-week assignment with 40 hours of paid orientation

Requirements:

• Valid Washington State Surgical Technologist registration or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required; NBSTSA certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience required
• Required skills: Singular scrub per cardiothoracic cases, general OR, cardiovascular/thoracic, and laparoscopic procedures
• Preferred experience with flexible endoscope reprocessing including bronchoscopes, EGD scopes, and EBUS
• Must be willing to float to general OR as needed
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius not accepted
