Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Athens, TX 75751

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Athens, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Block schedule approved. 91-day assignment with 24-36 hours of orientation.

Highlights:

• 10-bed ICU unit with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and average daily census of 8 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• Epic charting system utilized for documentation
• Flexible scheduling options with block schedules available
• One pre-approved time off period available during contract
• Weekend coverage required as part of rotation

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (TNCC preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with 2:1 or 3:1 patient ratios
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, central line care, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
