Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist – Valdez, AK 99686

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Valdez, Alaska

Schedule: Day shift, flexible 5x8-hour or 4x10-hour schedule (07:00 - 17:00). Guaranteed 72 hours per two-week period. Block scheduling available upon request.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at a Critical Access Hospital serving diverse patient populations
• Varied caseload including outpatient, acute care inpatient, swing bed, long-term care, and skilled nursing facility services
• Housing provided during assignment in furnished one-bedroom apartment units
• Work with adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients across multiple care settings
• Treat a wide range of conditions including orthopedic, neurological, and post-operative rehabilitation
• No on-call requirements; no floating outside scope of practice

Requirements:

• Valid Alaska state Physical Therapy license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Experience in outpatient, acute care, and long-term care/skilled nursing facility settings required
• Previous travel experience preferred; first-time travelers not accepted
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
