Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, NICU – Santa Rosa, CA 95405

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Santa Rosa, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend coverage and on-call shifts required. Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-week period.

Highlights:

  • Level III NICU experience with neonates 27 weeks and above
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation in delivery rooms and OR settings
  • 277-bed acute care hospital utilizing Epic charting system
  • Patient ratio of 3:1 with daily census of approximately 6 patients in a 12-bed unit
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
  • Free parking provided

Requirements:

  • Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Minimum 3 years of NICU Level III experience required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Must be able to attend deliveries and perform neonatal admissions and resuscitation
  • Experience with patient ratio of 2:1 or similar
  • Proficiency in advanced NICU skills including umbilical catheter management, ventilator support, central line care, and high-risk delivery attendance
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Candidates within 50-mile local radius not eligible at standard rate
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

First-time travelers are welcome. All time-off requests must be submitted at time of application and are subject to approval based on facility needs. You may be expected to float to nearby sister facilities as needed. Comprehensive orientation of 40 hours provided to ensure your success.
