Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Pediatrics – Lubbock, TX 79410
Start Date: November 30, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend requirement of 5 shifts per 6-week period. On-call may be required based on unit census. Floating between units may be required within scope of practice.

- Work at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 staffed beds and a 35-bed pediatric unit
- Patient ratios of 1:3-5 with an average daily census of 27 patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and more
- Free parking available in unrestricted spaces with bike racks on-site
- Epic charting system experience required; 12-hour orientation provided
- First-time travelers and candidates with 1 year of experience welcome to apply
Requirements:
- Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- Current BLS and PALS certifications
- Epic charting system experience required
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Skills required: BiPAP/CPAP management, central line/implanted line care, oxygen delivery systems, isolation precautions/PPE, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, breastfeeding support, feeding management (bottle, breast, gavage), hyperbilirubinemia care, and pediatric med-surg experience
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
