Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Pediatrics – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: December 14, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Weekend requirement of 5 shifts per 6-week period. On-call based on unit census. Floating between units may be required within scope of practice.

  • Work in a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 staffed beds and a daily census of approximately 27 patients
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3-5, ensuring quality patient care
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
  • Free parking available in unrestricted spaces with bike racks on-site
  • 112-day assignment with orientation provided
  • First-time travelers and one-year experience candidates welcome

Requirements:

  • Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; pediatric experience strongly preferred
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Skills required: BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, oxygen delivery systems, isolation precautions, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, breastfeeding support, pediatric med-surg, hyperbilirubinemia management, and various feeding methods
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
