Description
Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Pediatrics – Lubbock, TX 79410
Start Date: November 30, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Weekend requirement of 5 shifts per 6-week period. Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-5. On-call may be required based on unit census. Floating between units may be required within scope of practice.

- Work in a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 staffed beds and a daily census of approximately 27 patients

- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more

- Opportunity to care for diverse pediatric populations including infants, children, and adolescents
- 12-hour orientation provided to ensure successful transition to the unit
Requirements:
- Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Skills required: BiPAP/CPAP management, breastfeeding support/handling of breast milk, central line/implanted line care, feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), hyperbilirubinemia management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, oxygen delivery systems, and pediatric med-surg
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
