Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Pediatrics – Lubbock, TX 79410
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend requirement of 5 shifts per 6-week period. On-call based on unit census. Patient ratios of 1:3-5.
Highlights:
- Work at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 staffed beds and a daily census of approximately 27 patients
- 16-week assignment (112 days) with opportunity to care for infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- First-time travelers and candidates with one year of experience welcome to apply

- 12-hour orientation with Epic charting system training
Requirements:
- Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- Current BLS and PALS certifications
- Epic charting system experience required
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Skills required: BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, oxygen delivery systems, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, breastfeeding support, feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), hyperbilirubinemia management, and pediatric med-surg
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Willingness to float between units within scope of practice
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
