Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical – Murphysboro, IL 62966

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Southern Illinois

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Every other weekend and every other holiday required. No on-call responsibilities. Assignment duration is 91 days (approximately 13 weeks).

• Balanced patient assignments based on nursing workload and acuity levels: 1:5 for Med-Surg, 1:5-6 for Swing Bed, 1:3-4 for PCU patients
• Engaged team environment with opportunities to participate in unit committees
• Supportive supervisors who excel at making appropriate patient assignments based on nurse experience and skill level
• Overtime and holiday pay available at enhanced rates

Requirements:

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• ACLS certification required
• Medical-surgical nursing experience required; progressive care or ICU experience preferred but not mandatory
