Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Napa, CA 94558

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Napa, California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), variable start times. Weekend coverage required with commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Patient ratio of 2:1 across all shifts.

Highlights:

  • 13-week travel assignment in the beautiful Napa Valley region
  • Work in a 20-bed ICU with daily census of 10 patients and comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • Gain experience with advanced critical care equipment and procedures including CRRT (Prismaflex), EVD, IABP, Impella, and CABG patients
  • Epic charting system (preferred experience) with 12 hours of orientation provided
  • Patient-centered care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations with diverse diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, trauma, and stroke
  • All patient rooms equipped with lifts for safe patient handling

Requirements:

  • Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Experience with 2:1 patient ratios in critical care settings
  • Proficiency in care of ventilated patients, cardiovascular intensive care, neuro ICU, medical ICU, and surgical ICU
  • Skills in CVA/acute stroke management, hypothermia protocol, ICP monitoring, post-craniotomy care, and traumatic brain injury management preferred
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Clean background check required; no exceptions for background findings
  • Candidates must reside outside 50-mile local radius
