Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, PACU – Santa Rosa, CA 95405

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Santa Rosa, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (primarily 08:30 - 17:00), Monday through Friday. No weekends, no holidays, no call required. Flexible start times ranging from 06:00 to 08:30 depending on daily assignment. Must be available to stay and complete the full shift as needed.

Highlights:

• Work in an outpatient Pre-Op/PACU setting at an acute care facility serving diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Excellent work-life balance with Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends, no holidays, and no call requirements
• Provide care for all outpatient surgeries including general, orthopedic, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, plastics, and podiatry procedures
• Phase I and Phase II PACU experience with 2:1 patient ratios and average daily census of 10 patients
• 40 hours of paid orientation to ensure successful onboarding
• 91-day travel assignment with potential for extension after 3-month break

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of PACU nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in Pre-Op/PACU skills including conscious sedation, airway assessment, dysrhythmia recognition, IV management, procedural sedation monitoring, and infusion therapy
• Experience with diverse patient age groups and outpatient surgical procedures
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Flexibility to work variable start times and adapt to daily departmental needs
• First-time travelers accepted
