Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Geriatric/Home Care – Battle Creek, MI 49017

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Battle Creek, Michigan

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Overtime available after 40 hours per week. May require work beyond normal hours, weekends, and holidays as necessary. On-call responsibilities as needed.

Highlights:

Provide direct nursing care to elderly participants through the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), an alternative to nursing home care
Work independently utilizing advanced nursing knowledge to manage complex clinical situations and triage emergent needs
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Perform home visits to provide wound care, lab draws, assessments, treatments, and medications as prescribed
Monitor acute and chronic medical conditions in coordination with Primary Care Providers using a participant-centered care model
112-day travel assignment with competitive compensation including overtime and holiday pay

Requirements:

Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Active Registered Nurse license in Michigan
Current CPR certification by AHA or willingness to obtain upon hire
Minimum one year of experience working with frail, elderly, or long-term care populations
Home care experience preferred (minimum one year)
Wound care experience preferred (minimum one year)
Current immunizations and vaccines required (Hepatitis B, TB, MMR, Varicella, TDaP, Flu, COVID-19) or medical waiver documentation
Valid Michigan driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation required
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
