Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro Telemetry PCU – Lubbock, TX 79410
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), 91-day assignment. Six weekend shifts required per six-week schedule period. Patient ratios 1:4 on days/nights, 1:5 on weekends.

- Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds and 29-bed neuro telemetry unit
- Comprehensive Stroke Center with dedicated Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (4 beds for continuous EEG monitoring)
- Fast-paced environment with interdisciplinary team approach including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
- Patient population includes TIA/stroke, trauma, neurosurgical patients (ACDF, TLIF, XLIF, craniotomy), subdural hematoma, and epilepsy monitoring
- Epic electronic health record system with dedicated mentors for new caregivers
- First-time travelers accepted; free employee parking available
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; at least 1 year required in specialty area
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Experience with 1:4 patient ratios and telemetry/PCU/stepdown environments
- Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac drip management and titration, insulin and heparin protocols, vasoactive drips, and non-invasive airway management
- Experience with any charting system required; community hospital and Level II trauma experience preferred
- Willingness to float between units and work required weekend shifts
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
