Description
Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Napa, CA 94558
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Napa Valley region, Northern California
Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), variable shift times. Weekend coverage required with commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Patient ratio of 2:1 across all shifts.
Highlights:
- 91-day travel assignment in the scenic Napa Valley area
- Comprehensive ICU experience with diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Work with advanced equipment including CRRT (Prismaflex), EVD, IABP, and Impella systems
- Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
- 12-hour orientation provided with Epic charting system experience preferred
- Patient-centered care environment with lifts in all patient rooms and daily census of 10 patients
Requirements:
- Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Experience with 2:1 patient ratios
- Proficiency in care of ventilated patients, cardiovascular intensive care, neuro ICU, medical ICU, and surgical ICU
- Skills in CVA/acute stroke management, hypothermia protocol, ICP monitoring, post-craniotomy care, and traumatic brain injury management
- Two professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
- Clean background check required
