Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Napa, CA 94558

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Napa Valley region, Northern California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Every other weekend required. Possible call depending on patient census. 40-hour orientation provided. Assignment duration: 182 days (approximately 6 months).

• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system utilized for electronic medical records

• Potential to float to postpartum, medical-surgical, and orthopedic units based on facility needs
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1-2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and AWHONN Advanced required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in sterile vaginal exams is required (hard stop)
• Experience with fetal monitoring, labor support, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, postpartum care, and newborn assessment
• Skills required include administration of blood products, epidural anesthesia management, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, neonatal resuscitation, and triage of obstetrical patients
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Clean background check required (facility does not accept Nursys or background hits)
