Job Opportunity – Nuclear Medicine Technologist – San Pedro, CA 90732

Start Date: ASAP

Location: San Pedro, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30). Rotational call coverage includes weekdays 5:00 PM - 6:00 AM and weekends 8:00 AM - 7:00 AM. Call available but not required. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

91-day travel assignment at a 356-bed acute care hospital
Low volume, low acuity community hospital setting with routine nuclear medicine cases
Epic charting system with 16-40 hours of orientation provided
Free parking and flexible scrub color policy
Small team environment working independently as the only Nuclear Medicine Tech on shift
May float to other area locations as needed

Requirements:

Active California state license (must be in hand prior to submission)
ARRT certification with Nuclear Medicine Tech specialty required
CNMT or NMTCB certification required
Current BLS certification
Minimum 1-2 years of Nuclear Medicine Tech experience
LA fire card within the last 30 days required
Experience with GE XELERIS system preferred
Epic charting experience preferred
Proficiency in various nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, brain imaging, cancer surveys, renal studies, cardiac stress testing, PET scans, and ventilation/perfusion studies
Competency in starting and maintaining IVs and proper handling/disposal of radioactive materials
Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
