Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Olympia, WA 98506

Start Date: November 3, 2026

Location: Olympia, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend required. This is a 13-week travel assignment with 24 hours of orientation.

Highlights:

• High-volume emergency department treating approximately 170 patients daily across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Level I stroke and cardiac center, Level III trauma center functioning as Level II – the largest facility in the region
• 42-bed emergency department within a 325-bed short-term acute care hospital
• 4:1 patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Epic charting system with extensive support services
• Opportunity to work with diverse patient diagnoses including stroke, cardiac, and trauma cases

Requirements:

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Epic charting experience required
• Large facility experience strongly preferred; trauma experience is a plus
• Skills required: arterial line management, ventilated patient care, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, triage, isolation precautions, IV vasopressors, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
• Must be willing to float between like units within skill set
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
