Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit / Telemetry / Medical-Surgical – Newport, VT 05855

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Newport, Vermont – Northeast Kingdom region

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 guaranteed hours per week, includes every other weekend rotation

Highlights:

• 91-day travel assignment at a 25-bed critical access hospital in Vermont's scenic Northeast Kingdom
• Opportunity to work independently and perform charge nurse duties
• Cross-training opportunities with floating to Emergency Department and other units as needed

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Vermont or compact state licensure
• Experience in Progressive Care Unit, Telemetry, and/or Medical-Surgical nursing
• Ability to work independently and assume charge nurse responsibilities
• Flexibility to float to other units including Emergency Department and Mother-Child Health as needed
• Participation in department quarterly education sessions required
• Personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transit options
