Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Case Manager – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Eureka, California – Northern California coastal region

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30), every other weekend required. Assignment duration of 182 days (approximately 6 months). No call required. Floating between units based on departmental needs.

• Acute care case management position in a scenic coastal community within easy driving distance of 7 state and national parks
• Work with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Epic charting system with interdisciplinary support including social services

Requirements:

• Active California Registered Nurse license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital case management experience required; must be current within the last year
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with HMOs, IPAs, and managed care organizations
• Knowledge of advance directives, POLST, and protective services processes
• Skills in discharge planning, care coordination, DRG, CMS guidelines, prior authorizations, and appeals/denials
• First-time travelers accepted with clinical approval; previous travel experience preferred
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
