Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Open to 1st time travelers (no prior travel experience required)
Option of 36 or 48 hour shifts
BLS certification required

Required Certifications (as applicable)

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
NIH Stroke Certification (expires annually)
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)

Required Competencies

Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% score or meet Angoff score)
Color Blind Testing (online acceptable)
Competency Exam (minimum 80% or meet Angoff score)
Core Parts I, II, III (for subcontractors; annual completion required)

Licensure & Verification

Primary source online verification of state license required
NURSYS verification required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP
Education verification required (transcript/diploma accepted as placeholder if needed)

Background & Compliance Requirements

7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
Physical exam within 12 months of start
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
Complete employment application/resume
7-year work history verification required

Health & Immunization Requirements

Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (onsite fit test available)
Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year
TB questionnaire for positive TB results, renewed annually
Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if negative/equivocal
Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required; boosters if negative/equivocal
Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required (declinations not accepted)

Driver’s license or state ID required
Completion of unit-specific skills checklist annually
Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance
Behavioral Health RNs must have APNA eLearning Center certification for Conducting the One-Hour Face-to-Face Assessment for Persons in Restraint or Seclusion prior to start

This position is suitable for nurses with at least 1 year of experience in rehabilitation nursing, including those new to travel nursing. All required certifications and health documentation must be current and verifiable prior to start.
