Job Details

• Work schedule: 37.5 hours per week
• Caseload: Approximately 40 students
• Caseload shared with another SLP
• Open to Clinical Fellows (CFs); supervision provided by the school
• Must hold a valid South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license

Experience Requirements

Required Certifications & Licenses

• South Carolina SLP License (mandatory)

• Compliance with fingerprint-based criminal background checks and sex offender registry checks as per South Carolina state requirements

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Sex Offender Registry Search (South Carolina) required
• TB test and completion of South Carolina School Employee TB Form within 1 year of hire; must be completed by a physician or nurse practitioner in SC
• Annual completion of SC Mandated Reporter Training
• FERPA training and acknowledgment, updated annually
• Various accounting and employment documents required (e.g., W4, I9, Emergency Contact Form)
• Drug testing only if specifically requested by the client

Health Requirements

• TB Questionnaire required annually
• Physical exam, immunizations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella), and flu vaccination only if required by the client
• Drug screening only if requested by the client

Additional Notes

• Fingerprinting is not required but a name-based criminal record search and National Sex Offender Registry check are mandatory
• Candidates must upload all required verifications and documentation as per the school district’s policies
• Out-of-state candidates without a SC teaching certificate must request fingerprint cards within 24 hours of signing
