Job Details

• Position covers the 2025-2026 school year.
• Approximately 22.5 billable hours per week.
• Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Must have or be eligible for a Colorado State SLP license.
• Must have or be eligible for a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certificate; candidates may start with a pending CDE certificate.

Licensure & Certification Requirements

• Other certifications may be required depending on specialty and client requirements.

Background Checks & Compliance

• Criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• Must include SS Trace, Federal, Nationwide, County, and Sex Offender searches for the last 7 years of residency/work/school.
• Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and FBI fingerprint results required.
• Aurora Public Schools requires Agency Release Authorization Form to initiate background check and fingerprinting.
• Fingerprint clearance or confirmation must be obtained prior to starting onsite.
• CO CAPS Release Authorization form required for candidates working in Colorado.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam, TB testing, immunizations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella), drug testing, and flu vaccination are not required unless specifically requested by the client or state.
• TB questionnaire may be required if applicable.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must comply with all state and school district-specific documentation and verification processes.
• Candidates may start with pending teaching credentials or licenses if approved.
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required annually.
• Competency exams are generally not required unless specified by the school.
