Job Opportunity: Mammography Technologist (Travel/Contract)
Location: West Hollywood, California
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: Monday – Friday with Saturday rotation
- Shift hours: Between 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (hours may vary depending on department needs)
- Float to different departments within the main campus as needed
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography (2D and 3D), wire localizations, radar localizations, stereotactic biopsies
- On-call: Not required
- Float: Required
- Approximate daily caseload: 150 patients
Required Qualifications
- Mammography Technologist California license (CA license)
- CRT (M) certification (Required)
- ARRT certification (Highly preferred)
- BLS certification (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- First-time travelers accepted
Certifications & Licenses
- Mammography Technologist CA license
- CRT (M)
- ARRT (preferred)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, CPI certifications may be relevant depending on assignment
- State License verification required
- Fire Card (required if worked at facility for 6+ months)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- I9 verification
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Background check within 1 year including:
- 7-year criminal background check
- SSN trace
- Nationwide and international criminal searches (if applicable)
- Education verification and transcript/diploma submission
- Education accreditation confirmation (DAPIP accreditation for relevant tech roles)
- Photo for facility badge (specific photo requirements apply)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Annual TB questionnaire if history of positive TB
- Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Drug screening panel within 1 year of start (excluding Marijuana/THC)
- Seasonal flu vaccination documentation required during flu season (Nov-April) with strict exemption policies
- Two professional references required (one supervisory)
- Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for Mammography Tech and other listed units
Additional Notes
- Candidates must complete competency exams and medication tests as required
- Facility-specific documents and policies must be reviewed and signed, including code of conduct, attendance policy, job hazard analysis, and safe work practices
- Scheduling guidelines apply for various units including ICU, PCU, Med Surg, Tele units, and others
- Hybrid or remote work candidates have additional telecommuting agreements and confidentiality policies to review
This position offers an opportunity to work in a high-volume mammography department within a major medical center, with a supportive environment for first-time travelers and a variety of diagnostic and interventional mammography procedures.
