Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Location: Palmer, Alaska
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), potentially 6 nights on and 8 nights off
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Specialty

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Experience with adults, pediatrics, and neonates
• Cerner EHR experience preferred

Requirements

• Must be a Respiratory Therapist registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Responsible for providing cardiopulmonary services following approved protocols and department policies
• Duties include:

  • Assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
  • Delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
  • Maintaining airways and ventilator management
  • Insertion of arterial lines and intubations
  • Performing pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gases
• Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
