Travel RN Opportunity - Operating Room Nurse

Location: Deming, New Mexico

Requirements

• Licensure & Certifications:

  • New Mexico RN Licensure
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

  • Minimum 2 years nursing experience in critical care or surgical services

Job Description

• Work 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• On-call up to 15 days per month
• Provide patient care in the Operating Room as part of the surgical team, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR technicians
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering care
• Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring availability of supplies
  • Managing case timeliness
  • Communicating with patient families
  • Updating physician preference cards
  • Scrubbing and assisting during surgical cases
  • Supervising personnel delivering patient care
• Adhere to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and hospital policies and procedures
