Location: Sahuarita, Arizona

Job Details

• Specialty: Pharmacist
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent hospital pharmacist experience (higher value confirmed)
• Current Pharmacy License from the Arizona State Board
• ACLS & BLS certification
• Experience with Cerner and Omnicell systems
• Ability to work independently and supervise one pharmacy technician
• Sterile compounding experience required
• Expected to attend code blues and provide clinical recommendations
• Must be able to answer questions from doctors and nurses and complete consults

Preferred Qualifications

• Board Certified and/or Accredited Pharmacy Residency
• At least 1 year of recent hospital experience

• Clean, smoke-free, well-lit healthcare setting
• Exposure to video display terminals and keyboard use
• Occasional irregular hours and frequent interruptions
• Ability to handle pressure from multiple calls and inquiries
• Exposure to clinical settings with potential for emergency care situations
• Operational and people management skills to ensure patient satisfaction and quality improvement
• Collaborative work with diverse stakeholders to meet key goals

Additional Information

• Facility is an 18-bed neighborhood hospital with medical/surgical inpatient beds, two operating rooms, and a 14-bed emergency room
• Pharmacy closed on recognized holidays
