Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech - Surgical Services

Location: Pocatello, Idaho
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Surgical Services (CVOR Tech)
Shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
Call Requirement: 25-33%
Charting System: Epic
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years (travel experience not required if 2 years of experience)
Prior Travel Experience: Not required
Certification Requirements:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
Locals: Not accepted (100 mile radius rule applies)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
Tech Cert Verification - National
State License Verification (Primary source online verification)
NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement

Required Competencies

Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
Color Blind Testing (online version accepted)
Competency Exam (minimum 80% or meet/exceed Angoff score)
Core Parts I, II, III (for subcontractors; annual completion required)

Background and Documentation Requirements

7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
EPLS/GSA/SAM check upon hire
HHS/OIG check upon hire
Education verification (highest level) required
Work history verification for 7 years
Employment application/resume required
Unit-specific skills checklist (annual)
References: Internal only; not required for clearance

Health and Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 12 months of start
Fit mask test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
TB questionnaire (if positive results) within 90 days of start, annual renewal
Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required (declinations not accepted)

Clear headshot photo required for badge
Prior travel experience is NOT required for this position if candidate has 2 years of experience
Locals within 100 miles are not accepted for this travel contract
