MRI Technologist - Travel Position

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

The MRI Technologist will perform a variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, support other imaging technologists, and help facilitate efficient patient flow. Flexibility to work different shifts and at other campuses as needed is required. The role includes troubleshooting basic maintenance, participating in quality assurance (QA), resolving image processing and archiving issues, and ensuring MRI safety compliance. Ongoing education and adherence to technical and safety standards within licensure scope are expected.

Work Schedule

• 16-hour shifts
• Saturdays and Sundays, 7 AM - 11 PM
• Call required

Responsibilities

• Adhere to organizational competencies and core values
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with policies and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with management, coworkers, and physicians to promote staff growth and physician satisfaction
• Adapt patient assessment and care methods to meet diverse patient needs
• Perform imaging exams and assist in patient throughput within licensure and competency scope
• Ensure exams are properly scanned and stored in PACS
• Follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalate issues as needed
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions and follow up appropriately
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education & Certification

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT required within 1 year of hire
• BLS certification (AHA only)

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting required
• Level I or Level II hospital experience required
• Basic computer skills required
