Travel RN - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Johnson, Arkansas
Employment Type: Travel

Job Details

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts (Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Requirements

Active RN license
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
Minimum 2 years of RN experience with a combination of Orthopedics, Plastics, and OB/GYN
Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering patient care in the OR. The RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other staff to provide care according to state regulations, AORN standards, physician orders, and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure availability of supplies and timeliness of surgical cases
Communicate with patient families
Update physician preference cards
Scrub and assist physicians during surgeries
Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the OR

Experience Required

Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (Operating Room RN with Ortho, Plastics, OB/GYN experience)
