Job Opportunity: Nursing (Contract)

Location: Honakaa, Hawaii

Job Details

• Employment Type: Contract
• Contract Length: 15 weeks

Licensure & Certifications

• Must have an active Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment (travelers without must apply upon acceptance).
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, NIHSS (all mandatory).
• NCI and Procedural Sedation certifications are requested but not mandatory.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of more than 2 years nursing experience.
• Proficient IV skills.
• Familiarity with Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations.
• Understanding of core measures and National Patient Safety Goals.
• Familiar with AIDET and Press Ganey patient customer service standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• Floating to other units/departments as determined by nursing administration, limited to clinical abilities.
• Use of equipment including Meditech EMR, Life pack Defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, Philips Monitoring Systems, and Motorola Radio Systems.

Schedule

• Variable shifts: 8- or 12-hour shifts.
• Scheduled for 80 hours over a 2-week period.
• One on-call shift per roster.
• At least one weekend off per roster.
• Shift assignments determined by manager upon arrival.

Additional Information

• Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.
• Timely arrival is mandatory; do not accept the start date if unable to arrive on time.
