Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Unit: PCU Nights (Progressive Care Unit)
Shift Options: 36 or 48 hours per week
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Weekend Requirement: As needed, rotating
Float Requirement: Yes
On Call: None
Block Scheduling: Case by case
Unit Size: 55 beds
Specialty Experience Required: Cardiovascular experience required
Years of Experience Required: 2 years preferred (will consider 1+ years)
Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted
Scrub Color: Any (no logo)
Documentation System: EPIC

Certifications Required

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) preferred
PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, Management of Assaultive Behavior, NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
State License verification and NURSYS verification required

Competencies & Testing

Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% passing or meet/exceed Angoff score)
Color Blind Testing (online)
Competency Exams as applicable
Core HIPAA and safety manual acknowledgements

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical Exam within 12 months of start
Fit Mask Test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
Hepatitis B immunity or declination
Varicella immunity or vaccination
Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days
Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
COVID-19 Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)

Background & Documentation Requirements

7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
Education verification (highest level) required
Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
Valid Driver’s License or State ID
I9 and E-Verify compliance
Clear headshot photo for badge
Employment application and resume required
7-year work history verification required

Weekend and float requirements apply
Block scheduling handled on a case-by-case basis
Documentation and credentialing must be completed prior to start
Orientation and EPIC training available pending fingerprint clearance
