Required Documents & Compliance

• Background Check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually

• Employment Application covering at least last 5 years
• Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years

• Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
• Immunizations and Health Documents:

  • TDAP (within 10 years) or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer or declination
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (Alaska placements require positive titer and vaccine series)
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer or declination
  • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• Respirator Safety Clearance (RespSafety) required for travel candidates, medically cleared annually
• Fit Mask testing required for travel candidates, updated annually

Additional Requirements

• Must complete Providence Health and Services Workramp modules as assigned (including specialty-specific, regulatory, and facility-specific modules) prior to start
• Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
• Float Policy Acknowledgement required (may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance)
• References and employment history must be verifiable and meet specified criteria
• Candidates must comply with all state-specific background and registry checks as applicable

Notes

• Pending Alaska license is acceptable to start
• Candidates must not have any open/active felony cases or more than one DUI charge on background check
• Returning candidates with less than 30-day gap between Providence assignments may have some background and drug screen requirements waived
• Locals (within 50 miles) are not eligible for this travel assignment

This position is ideal for social workers with at least 1 year of acute care experience who are licensed or pending licensure in Alaska and are open to a 13-week travel contract in Anchorage, Alaska. The role requires weekend work, no on-call duties, and flexibility to float within the facility. Compliance with extensive background, health, and training requirements is mandatory.
