Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Location: Aspen, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist in Acute Care is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy treatments. The goal is to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability. The therapist assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and adapting to their capabilities.

Schedule

• Wednesday to Sunday
• 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (40 hours per week)
• Dayshift, 10-hour shifts

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained upon hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist (preferred)
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)

Note: Since 2 years of experience is preferred and no other experience requirement is stated, the required years of experience is 2 years.

Additional Information

• Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing. Housing is extremely expensive, especially in winter. Surrounding towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs may offer more affordable options. Typical rent for a 1-bedroom apartment in Basalt is around $3,500/month.
• Not accepting any Return to Office (RTO) requests formally, but accommodations may be attempted.
• Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (8,000 ft elevation).
