Position Details

Requirements & Compliance

• Background Checks: Comprehensive background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
• Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests); negative results required.
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask test (annual, travel only)
  • Immunizations: TDAP, MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B (specific for Alaska placements), Varicella, Flu seasonal vaccination (declinations accepted), COVID vaccine or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual update required)
  • Respiratory safety clearance (travel only, annual)
• References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting
• Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format; 7 years for APN/Subcontractors
• Skills Checklist: Required for applicable units, updated annually

Training & Competencies

• Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Specialty Training: May require unit-specific competencies and exams (e.g., EFM for L&D RNs)
• WorkRamp Modules: Required completion of Providence-specific regulatory, specialty, and regional training modules prior to start and annually as applicable
• Epic Access: Completion of Epic training modules required prior to moving to paid status
