Description

Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer

Location: Deming, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel

Requirements

New Mexico state license required
ARDMS registration required
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience in Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer specialty
Prior travel experience required (must have completed at least one prior travel contract)
Graduate of an accredited AMA school
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
Maintains a State License as a general radiographer

Job Responsibilities

Provide timely diagnostic ultrasound services to inpatient and outpatient populations under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols
Perform abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms
Proficient in scanning small parts including thyroid, breast, and scrotum
Perform ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations
