Travel RN Opportunity - New Mexico

Job Summary

The competent Nurse practices independently in a similar clinical setting, providing routine and complex care. The role involves managing long-range goals and coping with clinical contingencies. The nurse makes appropriate assignments and delegates tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Meet expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Requirements

Education & Licenses

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required.
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only) required.
• RN license in New Mexico or compact license required.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in nursing specialty required (Critical Care experience preferred but new graduates will be considered).

Additional Position Requirements

• New hires must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days.
• New hires will be precepted by trained staff and must complete organizational and department-specific competency validations.
• Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Shift: Days, 7 AM – 7 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Six weekend shifts in a 6-week period
• On Call Requirement: Two call shifts per 6-week period
• Floating to other departments as needed
