Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ICU Nights)

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU Nights)
Experience Required: Minimum 1+ years in specialty
Prior Travel Experience: Not required (1st time travel OK)
Shift Options: 36 or 48 hours
Patient Ratios: 1:2
Float required
Weekends required

Required Certifications

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as applicable
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – as applicable
CHEMO (Chemotherapy) – as applicable
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – as applicable
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) – as applicable
NIH Stroke Certification – as applicable (expires annually)
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) – as applicable

Required Competencies

Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
Color Blind Testing (online version accepted)
Competency Exam (minimum 80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
Core Parts I, II, III (for subcontractors; annual completion required)

Licensure & Verification

Primary source online verification of state license required
NURSYS Verification required for RN
Education Verification required (highest level of education)
Background Checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical Exam within 12 months of start
Fit Mask Test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
TB Questionnaire (if positive TB test) within 90 days of start (annual renewal)
Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required
Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start
Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
COVID-19 Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Work Environment

ICU night shifts with 1:2 patient ratio

This position is suitable for nurses with at least 1 year of ICU experience who are open to travel assignments and flexible scheduling.
