Description

Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Technician (Nursing)

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Assist nursing staff and physicians during endoscopic procedures, including polypectomy, biopsies, screening exams, ERCP, and dilations.
Disinfect and process endoscopic equipment; troubleshoot equipment issues.
Set up procedure rooms and stock with necessary supplies and equipment.
Transport patients as needed.
Assist patients with dressing and ambulation as directed by nursing staff.
Apply EKG monitors, blood pressure cuffs, and pulse oximetry prior to procedures.

Shifts

4 shifts per week, each 10 hours long, with rotating on-call duties.

Required Certifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Registered with DORA as a Colorado Surgical Tech (required).
Flu vaccine required.

Preferred Certifications

Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associates or Advanced Associates Program.
IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Certification.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience required.
Advanced case endoscopy experience required due to the complexity of cases handled.
Prior travel experience is required.

Additional Information

Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the facility.
