Nursing Contract Opportunity - Bethel, Alaska

Position Summary

• Deliver patient care through nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care based on nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care.
• Serve as a resource person as needed.
• Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in patient care.
• Care for patients from birth to elderly.

Qualifications

• Completed nursing education program from an NLN-approved institution.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting as a Registered Nurse.
• Licensed and in good standing as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Alaska.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must pass and maintain competencies for the position.
• Proficient in oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic nursing skills.
• Basic EKG skills.
• Ability to administer treatments, medications, interpret diagnostic tests, and provide patient/family education.
• Ability to work independently within prescribed limits and manage care across the continuum.
• Ability to document care delivery and follow guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to supervise Psychiatric Technicians on duty.
• Flexible with work schedule.
