Travel RN Opportunity - New Braunfels, Texas

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Employment Type: Travel
Location: New Braunfels, Texas
Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7 PM - 7 AM)
Work Schedule: Full-time

Patient Population & Unit Type

Adult and Pediatric patients
Designated for Stroke, STEMI, Trauma, Resuscitation
Regional Advanced Cardiac hospital with high acuity patients

Job Summary

Practice independently in a similar clinical setting
Provide routine and complex nursing care
Manage clinical contingencies and long-range care plans
Delegate and assign tasks to other care providers as needed
Meet organizational competencies for leadership and nursing standards
Provide nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitor side effects and effectiveness
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers

Requirements

Education & Licensure

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Current RN license in Texas or compact state
Current certifications required:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- TNCC

Experience

Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred

Orientation & Competency

New experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days
Precepted onboarding with competency validations specific to Emergency Department
Newly licensed RNs may participate in residency or specific orientation programs
Completion of annual competency verifications required

Contract Length

13 weeks

Additional Notes

High acuity environment requiring strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex patient needs
