Job Opportunity: Rehabilitation Therapy (Physical Therapist)
Location: Kapaa, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments.
- Work settings include:
- Inpatient (25%) – acute care, ICU, SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility)
- Outpatient (75%) – hospital-based outpatient PT clinic
- Responsibilities include:
- Managing a full PT schedule with a mix of inpatient and outpatient cases every 30-45 minutes (new evaluations take about 1 hour).
- Treating patients in ER, ICU, Med/Surg (Acute, Observation, SNF), occasionally OB, and extensively in outpatient clinic.
- Mobility progression from acute to SNF inpatient care with knowledge of discharge planning.
- Requires independence and thorough care approaches for all outpatient diagnoses in a rural Kauai setting.
- Must obtain Hawaii PT license as soon as possible.
