Behavioral Health Social Worker - Alaska (Contract)

Location: Bethel, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

Provide medical social services using a holistic approach to assist patients and their families in overcoming physical, social, emotional, and environmental challenges that affect their health. Services are provided to individuals of all ages, from prenatal through elderly.

Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Alaska
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, preferably within the last year
• Experience working in Acute Care and Inpatient settings
• Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited school
• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) experience
• Valid Alaska State driver's license
• Basic computer skills
• Preferred experience working in cross-cultural settings with bilingual skills in English and Yup'ik
• Strong communication skills: ability to read, write, comprehend, and present information effectively in individual and group settings
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and ability to interpret graphs
• Ability to perform supervisory tasks in the absence of a supervisor and work both independently and collaboratively with other social workers
