Medical Laboratory Technician - Contract Opportunity

Location: Aspen, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens across all sections of Clinical Laboratory Medicine.
• Conduct microscopic, chemical, hematological, immunologic, or bacteriologic assays according to established standards.
• Calibrate and operate all instruments and equipment following preventive maintenance schedules.
• Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (8,000 ft elevation).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Certification: American Society for Clinical Pathology - Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
• Successful completion of a supervised one-year clinical internship.
• Preferred: Experience with EPIC system.
• Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish.
