Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Medical Unit Nights)

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday, 12-hour shifts

Job Description

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws.
• Document patient care according to standards.
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy, including patient and family education.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating issues appropriately.
• May be required to float to other units.

Requirements

• Current Wisconsin RN license.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• RN must be vaccinated for flu.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Years of specialty experience: Not specified; assume entry-level to experienced nurses are considered.
