Registered Nurse (ICU Nights) - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Job Details

• Hours: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week

Required Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
• Minimum Years of Experience: 1+ years
• Prior travel experience: Not required (first-time travel accepted)

Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, MAB, CPI (as applicable)
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• Color Blind Testing (online)
• Competency Exams (minimum 80% or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• State License Verification (primary source online verification required)
• NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA required)
• CEUs for Behavioral Health nurses (if applicable)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
• Education verification (highest level) required
• Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
• Complete employment application/resume required
• 7-year work history verification required
• Unit-specific skills checklist required annually

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
• Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• TB questionnaire (if positive TB test) within 90 days of start, annual renewal
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
• Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required (declinations not accepted)

Additional Notes

• Clear headshot photo required for badge
• Fingerprints must be redone for every new contract
• Flu exemptions require accompanying documentation
• COVID-19 and flu exemption forms must be approved in-house and escalated as needed
• Candidates can attend orientation and EPIC training pending fingerprint clearance but cannot work on unit until clearance is received

This position offers an opportunity for ICU nurses with at least 1 year of experience to work nights in a travel capacity with flexible hours and weekend requirements. First-time travel nurses are welcome.
